I find it impossible not to be inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Whether it’s the buildings of downtown Seattle shimmering in the evening sunlight, the looming heights of the Cascade mountains, the richness of the ever-present moss, or the simplicity of a leaf fallen in the grass, the views all around me make me want to pull out a camera and try to capture even just a sliver of this beauty.
I live in the Wallingford/Green Lake neighborhoods in Seattle, Washington. This is a wonderful neighborhood for a photographer: naturally, the lake provides lots of visual opportunities, but this is also a neighborhood of skilled gardeners. Most of the photographs of flowers that you will find on this website were taken within a few blocks of my house. I rarely leave the house without my camera over my shoulder.
When I’m not taking photographs, I am a computer consultant. I’m also kept busy by two cats and an enthusiastic standard poodle.
