Moon making an appearance tonight.
The moon was peeking out through the light clouds tonight and I thought I’d go try and catch it, since it was a nice, not cold evening out (for the first time in a long while)
After chasing it for a little while, I managed to get a few nice pictures, but it was mostly just amazing watching how quickly the moon moves through the sky (I remembered this from taking pictures of the lunar eclipse last year).
This time I also noticed the rotation of the moon as well; at first you can see the sun illuminating the edge of a large crater:

and then watch it move inward and out of the light of the sun:

And in my first location, I was trying to catch the moon before it slipped behind some rather picturesque laurel leaves.

Beautiful. I am still so amazed whenever I see the moon and/or photos of it… gah. So amazing.
